I think I am in protest to our school year coming to an end....if I deny it, will it not happen?!?!
Mrs Kim and I both can't believe how fast our year has flown....and how big our friends have become...We had such a wonderful class!!!!....They are all so very special and hold such wonderful spots in our hearts!
We have themes of Butterflies and Caterpillars....Mother's Day and Into Summer Fun.... Our only new letter is Q....and we will continue to review all the wonderful things we have learned together this year!
Mark your calendars......Thursday May 17th at 11:00...Our precious friends will entertain everyone with some fantastic patriotic songs to welcome summer with
May 23rd...we will have our class party May 24th...The ICE CREAM TRUCK comes to our school....wear your old clothes!!!....we plan on enjoying some very yummy treats!! and sadly May 24th is also our last day of school
We just want to say how proud our friends have made us everyday throughout the past 9 months together....Our class truly loves each other...and it shows!....We know they will move on to their classes next year and continue to be just as wonderful for those teachers as well....Mrs Kim and I were very blessed by all of our friends!

Hop into April !!! Spring has sprung...in a very warm way!
First of all, our class had a blast at the Easter Egg hunt...but my guess is, the bus ride was the biggest hit of the day!...They were all so excited to be big kids!...Many eggs were found...some in other friends baskets (never turn your head at an egg hunt!)...All were so well behaved during our trip to and from, and while there...What big kids we are becoming!
Our class Easter Party is set for Wednesday...thanks to Mikey's mom....We know it will be a "hopping" good time!
We have had several of our friends to turn four in March and more to follow this month...Happy Birthdays to our friends!!
Our themes will be ...Easter, Birds and the Jungle/Rainforest....Letters of the month are E, N and Z....Our numeral is 9 and the shape is the oval...Since our friends are "old hands" at their colors...we are going to talk about pastel colors...and the idea of lighter and darker shades!

With the weather hopefully becoming warmer, we will once again begin to use our wonderful playground...Please send your child a jacket and remember to only let your child wear sandals with a back on them...no flip-flops!

So..we have made it to February without a single snowflake!.....Maybe we are in for a huge springtime blizzard? Come on snow!!!
While we patiently wait... (and refuse to take the snowflakes down from our classroom windows!)...We will move ahead into February and all of the fun it will bring to us.
Our themes this month are...Groundhogs and Love, Valentine's Day, Circus, Dental week and Western Week. Our number is 7, and the colors are red and pink. The shape is the heart, of course, and our letters are K, J, X, and O.
We couldn't be prouder of how much our friends are growing and how much smarter they are becoming as each day passes...If that is even possible! We are moving toward March and our friends will soon be turning four...amazing!!! We are thankful for the chance to love and learn from each child in our room.

Brrrrrrr....it's finally starting to feel like winter outside (well, at least most days it is!!)
We sure do hope we actually have some snow to go along with all these wintertime themes we are learning about... I think a few snow days would be fantastic...especially with all the sledding and very creative snowman building talk that has been going on in the class!! (Evidently a teacher snowman must have a book to hold, so I am told!)
Our themes for January are New Years, Snow/Snowmen, Penguins and Polar Bears and Dinosaurs...Our colors are blue and white, our shape is the square and our numeral is 6.
We have recently moved ahead with our patterns to a new and tricky one...ABC....That means a pattern now can read....blue, white, purple...blue, white, purple and so on.....I must say that patterns are well loved by all in our room!!
We are enjoying seeing all of the big kids in our room....becoming so independent...Please allow your child to walk to class just like the big kids do....They all have better days that way!!
Special days this month: School Closed Monday the 16th Conferences Tuesday the 17th Registration begins Wednesday the 18th Creature Teacher the 18th Penguin Day the 27th...Wear black and white...How fun! Maybe we will have some Penguin treats for snack??
